Brian is a retired FBI Special Agent. Brian's 29 years of experience in the field of investigation make him one of the most qualified investigators in Southern Minnesota. Brian has conducted investigations involving bank robbery, drug trafficking, financial institution fraud, public corruption, fraud against the government, and terrorism.

Rick is retired from the Iowa Department of Public Safety where he served as a State Trooper and Sergeant with the Iowa State Patrol Tactical Teams. He's also a former Special Agent with the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Busch trained as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), working as a Protective Service Operations Detail Leader & Instructor. He is a decorated combat veteran and served in Central and South America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

Heath is a Lieutenant with the Minnesota State Patrol who formerly served as a municipal police officer. He has over 20 years of experience in law enforcement and investigations. Heath has supervisory experience in criminal and background investigations and dignitary protection.

Dwight is a recently retired insurance claim investigator. Thanks to his time with a large agency, he brings extensive experience in claims investigations of all types including origin and cause, fraud, subrogation, etc. Duncan is also a Certified Fire, Explosion, Vehicle Investigator (CFEFI, CVFI) by the National Association of Fire Investigator (NAFI).

Mark Dungy is a Sergeant of Investigations with the Winona County Sheriff’s Office. Mark has over 20 years of investigative experience having served as the lead investigator on cases including homicide, sexual assault, sex trafficking and narcotics. He is a member of the Minnesota Crimes against Children Task Force and is a Certified Digital Forensic Examiner. He is experienced with Magnet, Cellebrite, FTK and OS Triage for your digital forensic needs.

Tim Felton began his law enforcement career in October of 1976. Tim became DARE Certified in 1991 and has taught at several schools in Winnishiek County prior to retiring in 2018 from the Sheriff's Office. Tim was selected as the Iowa D.A.R.E. Officer of the Year in 2005 and served as President of the Iowa D.A.R.E. Association in 2008. Tim also enjoys providing the ALiCE training since 2013. Tim was trained as a Mentor and has served on the DARE Iowa training team since 2011 and currently represents the Iowa Sheriffs & Deputies Association on the DARE Advisory Board.s here

Rick has been an attorney for over 45 years with over 40 years of government service & for his entire career has been involved in civil & criminal matters concerning sheriffs, corrections, criminal prosecution, law enforcement operations, private investigations & private security. He has trained many thousands of government staff on civil litigation, criminal law, corrections & personnel issues. Rick has also served as counsel to the Minnesota Sheriffs Association for over 30 years & is general counsel to the Badger State Sheriffs Association. Rick has taught extensively in the private detective & security services industry. He is admitted to practice before the Minnesota & Wisconsin Courts, Federal District Courts in Minnesota & Wisconsin, the 7th & 8th Circuit Courts of Appeals & U.S. Supreme Court.

Rick has served as an instructor for MNSCU, NIC, the AELE & School of Police Staff & Command. He is the author of several books & in addition to his law degree has a masters degree in public administration. He is a citizen member & Chair of the Minnesota Board of Private Detectives & Protective Services Agents Board.

Mark has over 35 years of law enforcement experience as a police officer & Minnesota State Trooper. Mark has conducted & supervised criminal, background & employee conduct investigations. He also supervised all aspects of law enforcement field training. Mark has orchestrated numerous VIP details at the local, state, and federal level. Mark served on the State Patrol's special response team and was the Rochester District Commander upon retirement.

Dean founded Crescent Investigations in 1992 after serving as a Special Agent with the U.S. State Department. He has over 30 years of experience in private and government investigation, making him one of the most experienced private investigators in Southeastern Minnesota. Dean has investigated over 5,000 private matters for law firms, insurance companies, local businesses, government agencies, and private citizens.

Bill has extensive law enforcement experience having served as a Trooper for the Minnesota State Patrol, Interim Chief of Police and Chief Deputy Sheriff. He also served as the State Patrol’s District Investigator, overseeing and conducting criminal case investigations and comprehensive law enforcement pre-employment background investigations. Bill has vast experience in civil and employment conduct/internal affairs/policy violation investigations. Bill has been a member of Crescent Investigations for 20 years.

Erin has been a certified mediator since 2016 and is a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 in the State of Minnesota. In addition to mediating with Crescent Investigations, she volunteers her expertise in harassment court, housing court, and in community mediations. Erin is certified to mediate in both Minnesota and Oregon. She holds an MS degrees in Conflict and Dispute Resolution and Economics, both from the University of Oregon.
